Thule Omnistor Awnings: Over 80 Years of Innovation
With a rich history dating back to 1942, Thule has a well-earned reputation for quality and innovation.
Established in Sweden, it has become one of the most well-renowned brands worldwide in the outdoor leisure industry.
Thule awnings stand out due to their exceptional material quality, creative engineering, and user-friendly design.
With numerous options, sizes, and colours available, Thule has made its awnings compatible with a wide variety of vehicles.
With all this choice, picking the right one for you can be a little tricky - a few key things to consider are:
- Vehicle type: Do you have a van, motorhome, or caravan? This will impact your options.
- Mounting type: Do you want an awning mounted on your vehicles roof or wall? Or have you already got mounting brackets that make the decision for you?
- Size: How long is your vehicle and how much coverage do you want?
If you know the answers to these, or have a rough idea, you're in a great position to start deciding on your perfect awning.
Check out the comparison table below to find out more about the different options and let us help find the right awning for you ahead of your next adventure.
Thule Omnistor Comparison Table
Thule wind out awnings can be seen on leisure vehicles all around the world.
Designed to offer reliable shelter outside your RV, these cassette-shaped awnings are hugely popular and come in three main ranges:
- Wall-mounted awnings: Providing a stable and secure fit, popular due to their ease of installation and stability during use. They can also don't impact your vehicle's maximum height.
- Roof-mounted awnings: Compact and easy to use, these are often preferred when space is a constraint or if the vehicle's structure requires a top-mounted option.
- Rail-mounted: Less common, but the easiest to install and the only non-permanent fitting - these can simply slide onto an existing rail, for example on a caravan.
Check out the table below for a full overview of Thule Omnistor awnings.
*Both the Thule Omnistor 8000 and 9200 require a specific adapter to be able to be used on a caravan.
